Elder Jonas Gridley's mission

  I've heard many times in my life that time heals all wounds. I would respectfully disagree. In my experience what you do in your time depicts what wounds may or may not heal. Some cuts are small and take a matter of time to heal and to forget. Some cuts scar. What you do with your time has such a big impact on you as a person. Do you know where you are headed? Do you have goals? I know who I want to be in the end and where I'd like to end up. Honestly come things might not even be all healed up by the time I get where I am but after through Jesus Christ, I know I will be made whole.  Elder Gridley's thoughts from Sunday night.     This week was very cool we have been teaching many people still and well we have so many fruits of our labors. We had two of our favorite people out here get baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was such an exciting experience! Elder Brown performed the baptisms and the zone leaders also had a friend get baptized.   

        This week with Fit for the kingdom has been super dumb. I've just been surviving. So we are second to lowest in the Mission and we just don't have much of a chance to win and the zone leader has just been pressuring me into not eating candy even if we have no chance so I have just not been eating candy so I'm not a disappointment.   My favorite.      We have been super blessed to have 6 people at church this week and we have a baptism scheduled for this Saturday. It's going to be sweet. We are going to have Angel and Camelle baptized and going to have Elder Brown do the baptism because it will be his first one hope he has a blast.       It has been a great week though. Played lots of card games again this week ate some more from sushi king it was great but we went when its "dinner time" so it was more expensive so we shouldn't have so it was really expensive.       Had dinner at a nonmembers house and they are nice we were supposed to be on an exch

Now I don't have a Darla back home and well it's a blessing helped so much to do my best to stay focused out here. It's a great thing I am in a district with no sisters and ever greater to just have faith that God's plan for me is better than I can dream of so why try! Happy truth right there.      So because I'm a goof I had to see if I still could... we could fit into a drier. Ha, I can don't worry I've only gained about 20 pounds so it's cool. I don't feel like I've gained much weight at all but I can definitely tell when I try to do pull-ups ;) so sad.        So we had another lesson with one of our friends who is progressing a lot and is on date to be baptized.   Hello there, so this week was just wild had a lot going on very busy. Tuesday we had Dinner with a member the Cazares family it was sweet. They had some Vietnamese food it was pretty good. They also had a giant cookie pie thing. it was so good! to look at  . We are doing a thing called fit for the kingdom where we can't eat like sweet have to work out all these things and it to earn points so you can win so it's all by choice. But we didn't partake it was so so lame. Later this night I felt sick had a horrible head ache and kinda just passed out while Elder Brown worked all night. Next day i felt great it was all good.  This week we had so much fun doing cool things. We taught a lady and gave her a Book of Mormon and she gave us some stuffed animals a sloth and a hedgehog it was wack kinda funny said happy valentines day to us and gave us cologne lol. Super weird We put Angel and Camelle on date hope that happens it should it will be so sweet. We really want to hit 3 conv

  Hmm, where to start. Well, I and Elder Brown have still been just grinding in Hampton it's been great so far. We were sad to see Elder Jordan go but happy to have Elder Mark's here he seems great a goof but I hope we get along as well as I feel like we will.     So in the morning one Monday, Thursday, Thursday, and Saturday we normally play pickleball/Hampton Ball. But the tennis court we usually play at the net was gone Thursday... What?! No idea what happened there decided to visit a different part of town for a place to play and it was all locked up... no more pickleball. For now    Saturday oh boy we had 11 lessons planned! Was going to be great but yeah only 3 happened so that was a bummer but we found a new person that day I'll do what I'll call like a faith scroll and tap of names and call them and she (Cynthia) was the first one if was the first. Set a time to share a message with her as we often do and we'll it's been going in a good direction.     S
