Elder Jonas Gridley's mission

     We folks I've stayed here in Elizabeth City for quite some time  . We got 2 more Elders on Wednesdays and it's been kinda chaos around here but it's been pretty fun just like the good old Hampton days. We have been playing a lot of risk Europe and that's way better and more fun than the usual risk.     We started teaching a less active woman and her husband who's a jew and that's interesting so far. They came to church for the first hour anywho. Looking forward to seeing them again Tuesday.    We found a new friend who's a pastor and we just shared our message and he was pretty cool with it has a triple combination so that's cool was given it by a general authority. Gave him a family proclamation he's looking forward for us to coming back he loves us waiting for us to come back.  Having a blast love yall.

So as you can or cant tell I couldnt tell what to tile my email. It was a good week. I got my transfer news and well im going to be staying with Elder Esplin and so that means im 5 transfering down here. Ouch didnt see that coming. Jk but yeah,but heres the neat part theres another set of Elders moving in so we are losing a lot of space its going to get tight in here.     I really hope all the new Elders are obedient because I dont want to have to deal with anything thats just annoyng. I'm sure it will be great and lots of fun pickleball is going to get better and better.     We had 1 person at church it was Windi again it was good we where glad she came and she really enjoys coiming.     We had some fun on another 24 hour exchange! I went with Elder Burt and we had a fun time. We did a lot of pillow talk and just had a fun time. I got a drone from their appartment and ive been having a fun time with that. Also had district councel that was fun Sister West made everyone sock pupets

  Tuesday we finally had a member meal again its been a while  . It was some great food. The dad was 4th of 7 kids as well don't see that often at all.      Our friend Otis has still felt good about baptism we are excited to see his progress. He reads what we give him and does all he can to understand. He's keeping his commitment and it's just great to teach the word of wisdom and he said he will live by it or prepare to before baptism so that's awesome!    I did a baptismal interview and I was nervous haha but it was great she got baptized pretty sweet.     We play pickleball every Saturday morning and it's always the best I really enjoy that there were 3 courts being used this time so lots of people to play with having a blast with that every week.    We saw the temple dedication at church on Sunday that's really cool! President Nelson did the dedication awesome to watch we did the hosanna shout 2nd time in my life so it's been a great time to be a mission

  So back in April we had a friend of ours come to church. Her name is Windi (wendy) she's cool came to church bore her testimony it was awesome! We hope to keep meeting with her she came to second hour and just had a wonderful time and should be at church not next week but in two weeks because next Sunday we are watching the DC temple dedication.  We had another friend at church too! His name is Otis and well he said he had a great time and felt very welcomed given that he was the only African American at our service. We figured he would say something but so many people came over and said hi that he felt welcomed didn't stay for both hours but said he's bummed he didn't is going to next time (in two weeks).  We found so many new people this week. It's been very joyous and just a good time to be a missionary I'm glad I'm in this area at this time.  Sorry super fast I don't have the most time.  I spoke in church for the first time! With my comp super fun! I was way calmer and just felt good the whole time though I was still a little nervous I had a great time though! I talked about love. Got caught in the rain on bikes we had a really good time with it didn't just go home still knocked and had a fun time that's quite a memory.  Got back in touch with Jequala and hope she will keep meeting with us and work towards coming to church!  Love Elder Gridley :)
